Series 302 heat detectors are engineered for deployment in both standard and challenging environments, including those exposed to weather, moisture (internal condensation), and explosive atmospheres. These normally-open devices close an electrical circuit upon activation and incorporate rate compensation in all models. The 302-AW-194 variant features a fixed temperature rating of 194°F (90°C) and is specifically designed for moisture-proof or dust-proof installations, requiring no special back box when the all-weather leads are appropriately spliced to "THW" or equivalent type wire, provided the splices are moisture-proof. Suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications, these detectors are self-restoring, hermetically sealed, shock and corrosion resistant, and tamperproof.
