The top rim clamp kit is designed for installation on a drum handler to prevent a rimmed drum from slipping length-wise. This top rim clamp can grip the upper rim of 30 to 55-gallon (114 to 210 liter) plastic or fiber drums, and it is secured by tightening the clamp around the drum's top rim, followed by securing the cinch chain as usual. The clamp permanently bolts onto the Morcinch™ drum holder, enabling the handling of a 55-gallon (210 liter) rimmed plastic, fiber, or steel drum with a single Morse drum handler. For a 30-gallon (114 liter) rimmed plastic or fiber drum, a diameter adapter model 55/30-19 is required. This kit features adjustments for 30 to 55-gallon drums, replaces an older rim clamp that was limited to 55-gallon drums only, fits within the frame of Morse below-hook drum carriers, and prevents the slipping of rimmed drums. Installation is straightforward, utilizing just two bolts to attach the top rim clamp to the side plate of the Morcinch drum holder, which has been a component of many Morse models produced from April 2009 onwards.
