Master Lock Letter Lock™ is a combination lock featuring an easy-to-dial 3-letter combination system (patent pending), with each indicator clearly labeled in bold letters on the dial. It includes an easy-to-remember phrase with each padlock for convenience. The lock utilizes U.S. Patent No. 8,099,985 BlockGuard® dual protection anti-shim technology to resist tampering of the latch mechanism, with foreign patents pending. Models 1585 and 1572 come with a combination chart to facilitate lock system administration, though the 1572 model does not include a control key for supervisory access. The lock has a 1-7/8" (48mm) wide double-reinforced stainless steel body designed to withstand abuse, paired with a hardened steel shackle. Note that all Master Lock locks are non-returnable and can only be purchased through an official business or organization account. For lock systems, selection of "Master Lock" in the drop-down field is required to indicate if it is a new or existing key system, and if an existing key system is being used, the control key number must be provided. New key systems require a separate control key order, with options available under “Customers who bought this item also bought” or by calling for details.
