The kit includes a sturdy formed shelf constructed from cold rolled steel, featuring "triple bends" on all four sides for enhanced strength and durability. The shelving units utilize a clip-type assembly that saves time during setup, with offset angle posts that support heavy loads and accommodate compression clips. The shelves are treated with a rust-resistant phosphatized coating for improved paint adhesion and longevity, and they are finished with a baked-on gray enamel. The compression clips enable rapid shelf adjustments, with normal shelf loading increasing the locking action. Closed units come with back and end panels, while starter units include two sway braces, and add-on units come with one sway brace. These shelving units are compliant with applicable standards and come with a warranty for added assurance.
