The Justrite® 28206 Aerovent™ drum vent is designed for use with 2" bungs and includes a filter as well as an extra replacement filter. This product facilitates the safe filling and storage of liquids by providing necessary venting for drums containing flammable liquids, which is essential to relieve pressure build-up due to heat and to prevent the creation of a vacuum during liquid drainage or sudden cooling. The Aerovent™ operates at a pressure of 5 PSIG to safely vent drums, while effectively controlling fugitive emissions. Constructed with a brass body, it features an activated carbon filter that adsorbs vapors, preventing their escape into the atmosphere during the exhale cycle and capturing volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The vent provides automatic pressure and vacuum relief and includes a built-in flame arrester to prevent flashback from external ignition sources. The filter can be easily replaced when odors indicate it has reached capacity, typically after 90-120 days of use. This product includes a limited warranty of 1 year.
