The Justrite manual drum lid with gasket and vent for 55 gallon drums, model 26752, is designed to convert ordinary open-head drums into fire-safe hazardous waste collection centers while controlling vapors to comply with EPA and NESAM requirements. These steel lids feature a chemically resistant powder paint finish and require only a screwdriver and wrench for installation. The gasketed, manual latching lid seals the drum to prevent vapor release, and an installed vent relieves pressure buildup between 3 and 5 psig (0.2 and 0.35 bar) at elevated temperatures. The lid is FM approved for fire safety and complies with OSHA requirements for closed container storage of flammables. It is suitable for industries such as aircraft, furniture, and printing, where solvent-soaked cloths are used. The design also accepts an optional padlock for added security.
