Severe duty motors range from 1 HP to 700 HP and are specifically engineered to protect against harsh environmental operating conditions. These motors are suitable for typical applications in petro-chemical plants, mines, foundries, pulp and paper plants, waste management facilities, rock crushers, and chemical plants. Key features include Super-E® premium efficient windings, 460 volt operation, a 1.15 service factor, a corrosion-resistant epoxy finish, regreasable ball bearings, and an oversized rotatable cast iron conduit box. Additionally, they are equipped with a Forsheda® shaft seal, moisture-resistant ISR® (Inverter Spike Resistant®) copper windings, Class F insulation, and a stainless steel nameplate with corrosion-resistant hardware. The motors come with a 5-year warranty and are designed for use in tropical climates and other processing industry applications that require protection against corrosion and severe environmental challenges.
