Permanent magnet DC motors are available in power ratings from 1/4 to 2 HP, while wound field motors range from 1/2 to 3 HP, specifically designed for Class I, Group D and Class II, Group F & G locations, with certifications from both UL and CSA. These motors are suitable for applications such as conveyors and mixers in hazardous environments. They feature a NEMA C-face with a welded-on base, and come equipped with a T3C thermostat and explosion-proof conduit box. The motors are not tach adaptable and are ideal for conveyors, feeders, and pumps where variable speed and constant torque are essential in hazardous locations.
