The Super-E motors are specifically engineered to conserve energy over extended periods. They are Class F insulated, have a 1.15 service factor, and are inverter rated per NEMA MG1 part 31.4.4.2, making them suitable for variable torque applications and constant torque speed ranges when used with properly sized and adjusted variable frequency drives.
