Severe duty motors are available from 1 HP to 700 HP and are specifically designed for applications that require enhanced protection from severe environmental operating conditions. These motors are suitable for use in petro-chemical plants, mines, foundries, pulp and paper plants, waste management facilities, rock crushers, and chemical plants. Key features include Super-E premium efficiency, a 1.15 service factor, a corrosion-resistant epoxy finish, regreasable ball bearings, an oversized rotatable cast iron conduit box, a Forsheda® shaft seal, and moisture-resistant copper windings. Additionally, these motors feature Class F insulation, a stainless steel nameplate, corrosion-resistant hardware, and are tropicalized for use in harsh climates.
