Severe duty motors are available from 1 HP to 700 HP, specifically designed for applications that necessitate protection from extreme environmental conditions. Typical applications include petro-chemical plants, mines, foundries, pulp and paper facilities, waste management sites, rock crushers, and chemical plants. These motors are built to the 841XL design and feature an upgraded electrical and mechanical design with NEMA Premium® efficient winding. They include Inpro/Seal® VBX (thru 210 frame), VBXX bearing isolators on fan and drive end shaft extensions, and an epoxy paint providing IP56 enclosure. Additional features consist of stainless breather drains, proprietary cast iron frames for reduced vibration and noise, and terminal lugs on motor leads. The motors come with a 5-year warranty and are designed, manufactured, and tested to exceed IEEE 841-2001 TEFC motor standards for extreme severe duty service, making them suitable for petro-chemical, pulp and paper, cement, aggregate mining, and other process industries requiring premium efficient motors.
