Baldor-Reliance's washdown duty motors are available from stock in single and three phase AC and in DC designs, with horsepowers ranging from 1/2 to 20. The designs feature motors with an electrostatically applied epoxy finish, paint-free options, and major components made from 300 series stainless steel, as well as all stainless steel configurations. These motors are ideal for applications such as food processing, packaging, pharmaceuticals, or environments where motors are frequently subjected to high pressure washdowns. Key features include provisions for HS25 and HS35 encoder feedback mounting, which facilitate usage with closed loop velocity or position motor controls; additionally, the motors meet NEMA MG 1, Part 31 standards. They are specifically designed for use in conveyors, pumps, and other equipment in food processing and severe environments where regular washing occurs, and are suitable for adjustable speed applications that do not require full torque at zero speed.
