Baldor-Reliance's line of brake motors is offered in totally enclosed fan cooled, open drip proof, or explosion proof designs, available in both single and three phase configurations, with stock ratings ranging from 1/4 HP to 30 HP. These motors utilize a mechanical spring set brake with a manual release feature, and they automatically reset after operation. The brakes are internally connected to the motor on sizes 215T and smaller, making them suitable for various applications such as machine tools, conveyors, door operators, speed reducers, and any situation that requires quick stops and a positive hold.
