Baldor-Reliance's washdown duty motors are available from stock in single and three phase AC and in DC designs, with horsepower options ranging from 1/2 to 20. These motors feature an electrostatically applied epoxy finish, are paint-free, and have major components made of 300 series stainless steel, with select models constructed entirely from stainless steel. Key attributes include moisture resistant ISR® (Inverter Spike Resistant) technology, 200°C magnet wire, sealed ball bearings with moisture resistant grease, contact lip seals on shaft extensions, neoprene gaskets, special processed cast endplates, and a motor frame, base, shaft, and hardware made of 300 series stainless steel. Additionally, the motors are tropicalized, making them suitable for applications in food processing, packaging, and other outdoor environments, particularly in severe settings where motors are subjected to regular high-pressure wash downs.
