Baldor-Reliance's washdown duty motors are designed for demanding environments and come in single and three phase AC and DC configurations, with horsepower options ranging from 1/2 to 20. The motors are available in several designs, including electrostatically applied epoxy finishes, paint-free variants, and options with major components made from 300 series stainless steel or entirely stainless steel. These motors are particularly suited for applications such as food processing, packaging, and pharmaceuticals, where regular exposure to high-pressure wash down is common. They feature provisions for HS25 and HS35 encoder feedback mounting, making them compatible with closed-loop velocity or position motor controls and compliant with NEMA MG 1, part 31. Typical applications include conveyors, pumps, and other equipment in food processing and severe environments, especially for adjustable speed applications that do not require full torque at zero speed.
