Baldor-Reliance's washdown duty motors are designed for robust applications, available in both single and three phase AC as well as DC configurations, with horsepower options ranging from 1/2 to 20. These motors feature an electrostatically applied epoxy finish, with paint-free construction and major components made from 300 series stainless steel or all stainless steel. They are specifically built for applications in food processing, packaging, pharmaceuticals, and environments where motors are frequently exposed to high-pressure washdowns. Key features include moisture-resistant ISR® (Inverter Spike Resistant) capability, 200°C magnet wire, sealed ball bearings filled with moisture-resistant grease, contact lip seals on shaft extensions, neoprene gaskets, and specially processed cast endplates. The motor frame, base, shaft, and hardware are all constructed from 300 series stainless steel, ensuring durability without the use of exterior paint. These motors are also tropicalized for enhanced performance in severe environments.
