Baldor-Reliance's washdown duty motors are available from stock in single-phase, three-phase AC, and DC designs, with horsepowers ranging from 1/2 to 20. The motors feature an electrostatically applied epoxy finish, are paint-free, and incorporate major components made from 300 series stainless steel or are fully stainless steel. These motors are specifically designed for applications such as food processing, packaging, and pharmaceuticals, particularly in environments where they are frequently exposed to high-pressure washdown. Key features include moisture-resistant ISR® (inverter spike resistant) technology, 200°C magnet wire, sealed ball bearings with moisture-resistant grease, contact lip seals on shaft extensions, neoprene gaskets, specially processed cast endplates, and a construction that includes a 300 series stainless steel motor frame, base, shaft, and hardware, with no exterior paint. The motors are also tropicalized for added durability, making them suitable for severe environments where regular washing is necessary.
