Baldor-Reliance's washdown duty motors are available from stock in single and three phase AC as well as DC designs, with horsepower options ranging from 1/2 to 20. The motors feature an electrostatically applied epoxy finish and are offered in configurations that include major components made of 300 series stainless steel or all stainless steel. All external surfaces, including the motor frame, endplates, conduit box, shaft, and base, are composed of 300 series stainless steel. The motors utilize moisture resistant 200°C ISR® (Inverter Spike Resistant) magnet wire and incorporate four condensate drains in each endplate. Additionally, the endplate rabbets are sealed and the conduit box is gasketed, while lip seals are particularly effective in highly corrosive environments where paint or other finishes may not endure. These motors are suitable for applications such as food processing, packaging, pharmaceuticals, and environments that require regular exposure to high pressure wash-down procedures.
