Baldor-Reliance's washdown duty motors are designed for reliable operation in challenging environments, available in single and three-phase AC as well as DC configurations, with horsepowers ranging from 1/2 to 20. The motors feature an electrostatically applied epoxy finish and are constructed with major components in 300 series stainless steel, while some models are fully stainless steel. Key features include all external surfaces made of 300 series stainless steel, moisture-resistant 200°C ISR® (Inverter Spike Resistant) magnet wire, and four condensate drains in each endplate. The endplate rabbets are sealed, and the conduit box is gasketed, ensuring additional protection. Additionally, the motors are equipped with lip seals that are particularly effective in highly corrosive environments where traditional finishes may fail. These motors are suitable for applications in food processing, packaging, pharmaceuticals, and other scenarios where washdown conditions are prevalent.
