Baldor-Reliance's washdown duty motors are available from stock in single and three phase AC and in DC designs, with horsepower options ranging from 1/2 to 20. These motors feature an electrostatically applied epoxy finish and come in designs with major components made from 300 series stainless steel or fully stainless steel. The external surfaces, including the motor frame, endplates, conduit box, shaft, and base, are all constructed from 300 series stainless steel, ensuring durability in harsh environments. The motors utilize moisture resistant 200°C ISR® (inverter spike resistant) magnet wire and incorporate four condensate drains in each endplate, with endplate rabbets sealed and a gasketed conduit box for added protection. Lip seals are specifically designed for effectiveness in highly corrosive conditions where traditional finishes may fail. These motors are suitable for applications in food processing, packaging, pharmaceuticals, or other environments where high-pressure wash down is routine.
