Baldor-Realiance's washdown duty motors are available from stock in single and three phase AC and DC designs, with horsepower options ranging from 1/2 to 20. The motors are designed with an electrostatically applied epoxy finish, featuring paint-free major components in 300 series stainless steel, with options for all stainless steel constructions. These motors are suitable for applications like food processing, packaging, pharmaceuticals, and other environments where high-pressure wash downs are common. Key features include all external surfaces made of 300 series stainless steel, including the motor frame, endplates, conduit box, shaft, and base. They also incorporate moisture resistant 200°C ISR® (inverter spike resistant) magnet wire, four condensate drains in each endplate, sealed endplate rabbets, and gasketed conduit boxes, along with lip seals designed to perform effectively in highly corrosive environments where traditional paint or finishes may fail. The motors are specifically designed for use in food processing, packaging, outdoor, and highly corrosive applications.
