Baldor-Reliance's washdown duty motors are available from stock in single and three phase AC and in DC designs, with horsepower options ranging from 1/2 to 20. The motors feature an electrostatically applied epoxy finish, paint-free options, major components made from 300 series stainless steel, and all-stainless steel designs. They are specifically designed for applications in food processing, packaging, pharmaceuticals, or environments where motors are regularly subjected to high-pressure wash down. Key features include 300 series stainless steel for all external surfaces such as the motor frame, end plates, conduit box, shaft, and base; moisture-resistant 200°C ISR® (Inverter Spike Resistant) magnet wire; four condensate drains in each end plate; sealed endplate rabbets; and gasketed conduit boxes. Additionally, the lip seals are particularly effective in highly corrosive environments where traditional paint or finishes may fail.
