Baldor-Reliance's washdown duty motors are available from stock in single and three-phase AC and DC designs, with horsepowers ranging from 1/2 to 20. The motors feature an electrostatically applied epoxy finish, paint-free construction, and major components made from 300 series stainless steel or an all-stainless steel design. These motors are specifically designed for applications in food processing, packaging, and pharmaceuticals, or environments where motors are frequently exposed to high-pressure washdowns. Key features include all external surfaces made of 300 series stainless steel, moisture-resistant 200°C ISR® (Inverter Spike Resistant) magnet wire, four condensate drains in each endplate, sealed endplate rabbets, and gasketed conduit boxes. Lip seals are specially designed to perform effectively in highly corrosive environments where paint or other finishes may fail.
