Baldor-Reliance's washdown duty motors are available from stock in single and three phase AC and DC designs, with horsepower options ranging from 1/2 to 20. These motors feature major components made from 300 series stainless steel, including the motor frame, endplates, conduit box, shaft, and base, along with an electrostatically applied epoxy finish that is paint free. They are designed for applications in food processing, packaging, pharmaceuticals, or environments where motors are frequently exposed to high-pressure wash down. Key features include moisture-resistant 200°C ISR® (Inverter Spike Resistant) magnet wire, four condensate drains in each endplate, sealed endplate rabbets, and gasketed conduit boxes. Additionally, lip seals provide effective protection in highly corrosive environments where conventional finishes may fail. The motors are ideal for outdoor use and in highly corrosive situations.
