The Definite Purpose family of motors encompasses a wide variety of options to meet market demands, including TEFC and ODP two-speed motors, along with single-phase pressure washer motors. Specialty motors within this group range from arbor saws to woodworking and include pre-1952 NEMA motors as well as SAE hydraulic pump motors. The line features TEFC and ODP F-2 motors available in sizes from 1 HP to 60 HP, with automotive-approved models that comply with requirements set by major US automobile manufacturers, featuring all cast iron construction. These motors have regreasable doubleshield ball bearings, a shaft slinger on both ends, a stainless steel nameplate, and an epoxy paint finish. Designed for ambient conditions of 65°C with a 1.00 service factor or a 1.15 service factor at 40°C, these motors also meet automotive requirements for sound levels and adhere to GM's minimum efficiency times power factor mandates per GM7EHQ. Suitable applications include use on pumps, compressors, fans, conveyors, machine tools, and other industrial systems requiring automotive-approved motors.
