These motors are designed for general purpose use and can be applied in various applications, including compressors, pumps, fans, conveyors, material handling, and machine tools. Key features include heavy gauge steel and cast iron frames, ball bearings, ISR® (Inverter Spike Resistant®) copper windings, and low-loss electrical grade lamination steel. Typical applications involve operations that require continuous or frequent duty, and Super-E motors are specifically engineered to conserve energy over extended periods. These motors are Class F insulated with a 1.15 service factor and are inverter rated per NEMA MG1 part 31.4.4.2, making them suitable for variable torque applications and constant torque speed ranges when used with properly sized and adjusted variable frequency drives.
