Severe duty motors are available in a range from 1 HP to 700 HP and are specifically designed for applications that demand robust protection from harsh environmental conditions. These motors feature a Super-E premium efficient design, a 1.15 service factor, and a corrosion-resistant epoxy finish. They are equipped with regreasable ball bearings, an oversized rotatable cast iron conduit box, and a Forsheda® shaft seal, ensuring reliable operation in challenging environments. The moisture-resistant copper windings and Class F insulation enhance durability, while the stainless steel nameplate and corrosion-resistant hardware provide additional longevity. These motors are suitable for use in petro-chemical plants, mines, foundries, pulp and paper plants, waste management facilities, rock crushers, and other processing industries requiring protection against corrosion from severe operating conditions.
