Severe duty motors are available in power ratings from 1 HP to 700 HP, specifically designed to withstand harsh environmental conditions. This range includes Super-E premium efficient motors with a 1.15 service factor, a corrosion-resistant epoxy finish, regreasable ball bearings, and an oversized rotatable cast iron conduit box. Additionally, these motors are equipped with a Forsheda® shaft seal, moisture-resistant copper windings, Class F insulation, and a stainless steel nameplate with corrosion-resistant hardware. The motors are tropicalized for applications in extreme climates. Typical uses encompass petro-chemical plants, mines, foundries, pulp and paper facilities, waste management sites, rock crushers, and chemical processing plants, all requiring robust protection against corrosion in severe operating environments.
