Severe duty motors range from 1 HP to 700 HP and are specially designed to withstand harsh environmental operating conditions. Ideal for applications such as petro-chemical plants, mines, foundries, pulp and paper plants, waste management facilities, rock crushers, and chemical plants, these motors are engineered to meet the stringent IEEE 841-1994 standards for severe duty TEFC induction motors. They feature premium efficiency copper windings utilizing Baldor-Reliance ISR (Inverter Spike Resistant)® magnet wire that adheres to CEE efficiency guidelines. Additional specifications include an Inpro Seal® on fan and drive end shaft extensions, a 2-part yellow epoxy oxide primer applied both inside and outside, gray epoxy paint, and corrosion-resistant hardware. These motors are designed to minimize noise, vibration, and mechanical tolerances, with final test and vibration results provided with each unit. They are suitable for various applications requiring premium efficient motors manufactured and tested to stringent standards for severe duty service.
