Permanent magnet DC motors are available in power ratings from 1/4 to 2 HP, while wound field motors range from 1/2 to 3 HP, suitable for Class I, Group D and Class II, Group F & G locations, with listings by both UL and CSA. These motors are designed for applications such as conveyors and mixers in hazardous locations. Key features include a NEMA C-face with a welded-on base, UL and CSA certification, and compatibility with Class I, Group D and Class II Group F & G environments. The kit includes a T3C thermostat and an explosion-proof conduit box, but these motors are not tach adaptable.
