Permanent magnet DC motors are available in power ratings ranging from 1/4 to 2 HP, while wound field motors are offered from 1/2 to 3 HP, suitable for Class I, Group D and Class II, Group F & G locations, with listings from both UL and CSA. They are designed for applications such as conveyors and mixers in hazardous environments. Key features include a NEMA C-face with a welded-on base, UL and CSA certification, and compatibility with Class I, Group D / Class II Group F & G. The motors are equipped with a T3C thermostat, and an explosion-proof conduit box is included; however, these motors are not tach adaptable. They are ideal for conveyors, feeders, and pumps that require variable speed and constant torque in hazardous locations.
