Severe duty motors are available in a range from 1 HP to 700 HP and are specifically designed for applications that require protection from severe environmental operating conditions. These motors are suitable for use in petro-chemical plants, mines, foundries, pulp and paper plants, waste management facilities, rock crushers, and chemical plants. Key features include a Super-E premium efficient motor with a 1.15 service factor, a corrosion-resistant epoxy finish, regreasable ball bearings, an oversized rotatable cast iron conduit box, and a Forsheda® shaft seal. Additionally, the motors have moisture-resistant copper windings, Class F insulation, a stainless steel nameplate, and corrosion-resistant hardware. These motors are also tropicalized to withstand harsh conditions, making them ideal for tropical climates and various processing industry applications that demand durability and resistance to corrosion.
