Severe duty motors, ranging from 1 HP to 700 HP, are specifically designed to withstand harsh environmental operating conditions commonly found in industries such as petro-chemical plants, mines, foundries, pulp and paper facilities, waste management, rock crushing, and chemical processing. These motors boast a 15 service factor, feature a corrosion-resistant epoxy finish, and are equipped with regreasable ball bearings. Additionally, they include an oversized rotatable cast iron conduit box, a Forsheda® shaft seal, moisture-resistant copper windings, Class F insulation, a stainless steel nameplate, and corrosion-resistant hardware, making them suitable for tropicalized conditions. The robust design ensures reliability in severe environments, making them ideal for applications requiring significant protection against corrosion and other environmental factors.
