Severe duty motors are available from 1 HP to 700 HP, specifically designed to protect against challenging environmental operating conditions. These motors feature a Super-E premium efficient design with a 1.15 service factor, corrosion-resistant epoxy finish, regreasable ball bearings, an oversized rotatable cast iron conduit box, Forsheda® shaft seal, moisture-resistant copper windings, Class F insulation, a stainless steel nameplate, and corrosion-resistant hardware. They are tropicalized, making them suitable for various applications such as petro-chemical plants, mines, foundries, pulp and paper plants, waste management facilities, rock crushers, and chemical plants, particularly in tropical climates and other processing industry environments that demand robust protection from corrosion.
