Severe duty motors are available from 1 HP to 700 HP and are specifically designed to protect motors from harsh environmental operating conditions. These motors feature Super-E® premium efficient windings, operate at 460 Volt, and have a 1.15 service factor. The corrosion-resistant epoxy finish, regreasable ball bearings, and oversized rotatable cast iron conduit box enhance durability and functionality. They also include a Forsheda® shaft seal, moisture-resistant ISR® (inverter spike resistant®) copper windings, Class F insulation, and a stainless steel nameplate with corrosion-resistant hardware. These motors come with a 5-year warranty and are suitable for applications such as petro-chemical plants, mines, foundries, pulp and paper plants, waste management facilities, rock crushers, and chemical plants, particularly in tropical climates or other processing industry environments where protection against corrosion is essential.
