Permanent magnet DC motors are available in configurations ranging from 1/4 to 2 HP, while wound field motors range from 1/2 to 3 HP, suitable for Class I, Group D and Class II, Group F & G locations with listings by both UL and CSA. These motors are designed for applications such as conveyors and mixers in hazardous environments. Key features include a Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled (TEFC) enclosure, shunt wound design, Class F insulation, and compatibility with NEMA Type K SCR control. They offer a 20:1 constant torque speed range (except where noted) and feature a NEMA C-face with a removable base, though explosion-proof models do not have a removable base. The base is welded on Type 3513D only, and NEMA 182 and larger models have a thermostat with normally closed contacts on the field winding, with no dual mounting base holes on the 35D, 75D, or 91D types.
