Severe duty motors are available from 1 HP to 700 HP and are specially designed for applications that require protection from severe environmental operating conditions. Typical applications include petro-chemical plants, mines, foundries, pulp and paper plants, waste management facilities, rock crushers, and chemical plants. The motors are built to 841XL design standards and feature an upgraded electrical and mechanical design with NEMA Premium® efficient winding. Inpro/Seal® VBX is included for frames up to 210, along with VBXX bearing isolators on the fan and drive end shaft extensions. The epoxy paint provides IP56 enclosure, and stainless breather drains are incorporated. These motors come with a 5-year warranty and are suitable for industries such as petro-chemical, pulp and paper, cement, and aggregate mining, designed, manufactured, and tested to exceed IEEE 841-2001 TEFC motor standards for extreme severe duty service. The dimensions and additional specifications are tailored to ensure high performance in demanding environments.
