Severe duty motors range from 1 HP to 700 HP and are specifically designed for applications that require protection from extreme environmental conditions. These motors are suitable for use in petro-chemical plants, mines, foundries, pulp and paper plants, waste management facilities, rock crushers, and chemical plants. They are designed, manufactured, and tested to exceed the IEEE 841-1994 standards for severe duty TEFC induction motors, featuring premium efficiency copper windings that utilize Baldor-Reliance ISR (Inverter Spike Resistant) magnet wire, complying with CEE efficiency guidelines. Additional attributes include an Inpro Seal on fan and drive end shaft extensions, a 2-part yellow epoxy oxide primer applied inside and outside, gray epoxy paint, corrosion-resistant hardware, and reduced noise, vibration, and mechanical tolerances. The motors come with final test and vibration results included with each unit, ensuring quality and reliability for demanding applications.
