Severe duty motors, ranging from 1 HP to 700 HP, are specifically designed for applications that demand motors capable of withstanding harsh environmental conditions, such as petro-chemical plants, mines, foundries, pulp and paper facilities, waste management plants, rock crushers, and chemical plants. These motors are engineered to surpass the IEEE 841-1994 standards for severe duty Totally Enclosed Fan Cooled (TEFC) induction motors and feature premium efficiency copper windings constructed from Baldor-Reliance ISR (Inverter Spike Resistant) magnet wire that adheres to CEE efficiency guidelines. Additional attributes include an Inpro Seal on both fan and drive end shaft extensions, a 2-part yellow epoxy oxide primer on the inside and outside, gray epoxy paint, and corrosion-resistant hardware. The design aims to minimize noise, vibration, and mechanical tolerances, with final test and vibration results included with each motor.
