Severe duty motors are available from 1 HP to 700 HP, specifically designed to protect the motors from severe environmental operating conditions. These robust motors are suitable for applications in petro-chemical plants, mines, foundries, pulp and paper plants, waste management facilities, rock crushers, and chemical plants. They are engineered to meet and exceed the IEEE 841-1994 standards for severe duty TEFC induction motors, featuring premium efficiency copper windings that use Baldor-Reliance ISR (Inverter Spike Resistant)® magnet wire, in compliance with CEE efficiency guidelines. Additionally, these motors include Inpro Seal® on fan and drive end shaft extensions, a 2-part yellow epoxy oxide primer applied both inside and outside, gray epoxy paint, and corrosion-resistant hardware. They are designed for reduced noise, vibration, and mechanical tolerances, with final test and vibration results included with the motor. This comprehensive design makes them ideal for applications demanding premium efficient motors manufactured and tested to rigorous standards for severe duty service.
