Severe duty motors are available from 1 HP to 700 HP and are specifically designed to protect motors from severe environmental operating conditions, making them ideal for applications in petro-chemical plants, mines, foundries, pulp and paper plants, waste management facilities, rock crushers, and chemical plants. These motors are built to the 841XL design, featuring upgraded electrical and mechanical designs with NEMA Premium® efficient winding. They include Inpro/Seal® VBX up to the 210 frame, VBXX bearing isolators on fan and drive end shaft extensions, and an epoxy paint that provides an IP56 enclosure. Additionally, they have stainless breather drains, proprietary cast iron frames to reduce vibration and noise, and terminal lugs on motor leads. The motors come with a 5-year warranty and are designed, manufactured, and tested to exceed IEEE 841-2001 TEFC motor standards for extreme severe duty service, making them suitable for industries requiring premium efficient motors.
