Severe duty motors are available in a range from 1 HP to 700 HP and are specifically designed to withstand harsh environmental operating conditions. These motors are ideal for applications such as petro-chemical plants, mines, foundries, pulp and paper plants, waste management facilities, rock crushers, and chemical plants. Key features include Super-E® premium efficient windings, 460 volt operation, a 1.15 service factor, a corrosion-resistant epoxy finish, regreasable ball bearings, an oversized rotatable cast iron conduit box, and a Forsheda® shaft seal. Additionally, they come equipped with moisture-resistant ISR® (Inverter Spike Resistant®) copper windings, Class F insulation, and a stainless steel nameplate with corrosion-resistant hardware. The motors are backed by a 5-year warranty, making them suitable for use in tropical climates and other processing industries requiring robust protection against corrosion.
