Severe duty motors are available from 1 HP to 700 HP and are specifically designed for applications that require motor protection from severe environmental operating conditions. These motors feature a Super-E premium efficient design with a 1.15 service factor, a corrosion-resistant epoxy finish, regreasable ball bearings, and an oversized rotatable cast iron conduit box. They are equipped with a Forsheda® shaft seal, moisture-resistant copper windings, Class F insulation, a stainless steel nameplate, and corrosion-resistant hardware, making them suitable for a variety of applications including petro-chemical plants, mines, foundries, pulp and paper plants, waste management facilities, rock crushers, and chemical plants. Additionally, these motors are tropicalized to withstand challenging environments, ensuring reliability and durability in demanding processing industry settings.
