Severe duty motors are available from 1 HP to 700 HP and are specifically designed for applications that require protection from severe environmental operating conditions. Typical applications include petro-chemical plants, mines, foundries, pulp and paper plants, waste management facilities, rock crushers, and chemical plants. Key features include Super-E® premium efficient windings, a 460 Volt rating, and a 1.15 service factor (EM251252S-2340). The motors are equipped with regreasable ball bearings, an oversized rotatable cast iron conduit box, a Forsheda® shaft seal, and moisture-resistant ISR® (inverter spike resistant®) copper windings. They also feature Class F insulation, a stainless steel nameplate, and corrosion-resistant hardware, ensuring durability in challenging environments. These motors come with a 5-year warranty for added assurance.
