Baldor-Reliance lifting magnet generators provide power for lifting electro-magnets used in scrap and bulk metal handling facilities. Horizontal motors may be belted from the diesel engine or the motors with C-faces may be coupled to the PTO drive of the crane. The generators feature a heavy-duty steel frame, cast iron endplates, Class H insulation with Class F temperature rise, precision brush holders, constant force brush springs, double sealed ball bearings, and have a compound wound design with drooping voltage characteristics. They come in a DPFG enclosure and are finished with weather-resistant paint, including an F-2 conduit box. These generators are specifically designed for crane-mounted lifting magnets, making them suitable for recyclers and steel mills.
