The Baldor-Reiance Constant Velocity Blower Cooling Conversion Kit, model BLWL09-L, is designed for 1-phase, 115V motors with a 254TC-256TC NEMA frame. This kit allows for the conversion of TENV or TEFC AC motors to a totally enclosed blower cooled (TEBC) design, which is beneficial for applications that necessitate continuous cooling independent of the motor shaft speed. Installation involves mounting the kit on the back of the motor after the removal of the fan guard and fan, with no need to remove the TEFC fan shaft. It is important to note that this kit is not compatible with Athens-built 180-440 M, CP, or ECP motors.
