The kit is available in NPT and SAE configurations and provides precise control of flow and shutoff in one direction while allowing full flow in the opposite direction. It features a two-step needle design that allows fine adjustment at low flow by utilizing the first three turns of the adjusting knob, with the next three turns enabling the valve to open to full flow and providing standard throttling adjustments. The exclusive "ColorFlow" color-band reference scale on the valve stem enhances convenience and aids in setting the valve initially as well as in returning it to any previous setting. The cracking pressure for the return check poppet is 5 PSI (0.4 BAR), and the poppet material varies between brass valves (B suffix) and soft seal steel valves (S suffix), with a solid metal poppet. The maximum operating pressure varies depending on the material: for brass models F (inline only), it is 2000 PSI (140 BAR); for steel, the 400-800 sizes have a maximum pressure of 5000 PSI, while the 1200 sizes operate at 3000 PSI.
