The Proto® Black Chrome combination reversible ratcheting wrench is an 11 mm spline tool designed for use on metric 4, 6, 12 point, spline, and Torx® fasteners. It features a chrome-vanadium switch lever that allows for easy changes in turning direction, enhancing speed during use. The 15° angled offset box end keeps the shank clear of obstructions, while the chrome-vanadium construction of the box ends and switch levers ensures high strength and durability. The box end is countersunk for easy application to fasteners, and the spline design is specifically created for specialty spline bolts, which help minimize the weight and size of bolt heads. This design allows the wrench to engage conventional fasteners away from the corners, distributing force over a larger area to reduce the risk of scoring and prevent rounding of corners, thereby helping to avoid foreign object damage (FOD). Additionally, the high contact surface area away from fastener points enables effective turning of highly rounded fasteners, and the anti-slip design (ASD) open end enhances grip. The black chrome finish not only provides corrosion resistance but also gives the wrench a visually distinctive appearance.
