Heavy-duty wagon trucks with a 3500 lbs. capacity feature fifth wheel steering, which allows the front wheels and axle assembly to pivot on a central point known as the fifth wheel. This design reduces friction during turns compared to swivel casters, making the wagon trucks easier to maneuver under heavier load conditions, particularly when using softer, wider pneumatic wheels needed for rough or uneven surfaces. Typically pulled but capable of being pushed, the wagon trucks include a T-handle with vinyl handgrips designed for two-man operation. The heavy 12 gauge reinforced steel deck incorporates a 3" retaining lip, supported by full 1-inch diameter axles and roller bearing wheels. The structural channel undercarriage enhances durability and accommodates heavier loads.
