The Fellowes Powershred 485i is a gray, TAA-compliant strip-cut office shredder with a 16-inch wide paper entry. It shreds up to 38 sheets per pass into 1/4-inch strip-cut particles at 20 feet per minute, featuring Security Level 2. The continuous-duty motor supports 10 or more users with a 62-decibel sound level. The 35-gallon bin captures shredded material. It includes a Jam Proof System to prevent jams, SafeSense Technology to stop shredding when hands touch the opening, and an Energy Savings System that reduces energy use by up to 70 percent. It also shreds staples, credit cards, paper clips, and CDs/DVDs.
